You can move backwards but the maps aren't large enough to take much advantage of that before you hit an edge or something like that and find yourself pinned into a corner You can't move and turn at the same time which is really frustrating. ![]() Movement is sort of clunky, but this mostly stems from the move controllers and their silly lack of an analog stick. In my experience even across multiple worlds, there will be some slight atmosphere changes but the maps are basically generated out of the same 4-5 possibilities. Procedurally generated levels often resemble themselves pretty quickly - very little differentiation between what type of map you'll get.10 levels or so deep and there's no change in that. There's quests, but so far that just amounts to 'kill boss midway through level then go fight waves at the end'.Multiple worlds, though so far the only change has been slight aesthetic differences but it still changes things up enough to make it feel interesting. So yeah, not unrelentingly hard but not mindlessly easy either. I've died twice and there seems to be a handful of revives per level, but I've never died more than once on the same level so I don't know if there's any serious cost to outright dying on a level. fair difficulty, though it does suddenly jump at times.Decent amount of variation in enemy classes, though not a crazy amount.Lots of equipment to choose from as you go through the levels so that keeps things interesting.Seems to have a bit of legs to it lengthwise, I've done about 10 levels and have played 4 hours or so (albeit with breaks etc).Maps are randomly generated, so the levels stay fresh to a degree. As someone who really wanted a proper arcadey first person RPG experience for PSVR this is pretty refreshing. Collect new melee/ranged weapons at the end of levels, you've also got a belt weapon and can pick up one use scrolls from enemy drops/treasure chests. Run through maps killing enemies, gather XP and gold. Sort of like Torchlight meets Borderlands, though an extremely simplified version of both. I've played about probably 10 levels or so so far. Picked up Trickster VR yesterday, figured I'd share some thoughts for anyone on the fence. Game Discussions Previous AMAs PSVR Dev?
